Weeknotes #2
A very intense week at work meant I didn't find the time to regularly keep notes for a weekly summary. But I have more energy today. Especially since moving my blog from Bearblog to Pagecord brought me a lot of joy. I really like Bearblog. It's a wonderful platform, but I felt the urge to experiment and try something new. It was a spontaneous decision, but I'm glad I made it. I like experimenting. I wrote a separate post about it. You can find it here.

It was a week that started with cold days and rain, and ended with high temperatures, sunshine, and the feeling that it's already summer rather than spring. Unfortunately, there isn't much reason for greater optimism, as colder days are expected to return. But the rain is needed. I can see it from my lawn, which wants to drink endlessly.

This week, I got annoyed by what was presented during Google I/O. The idea of replacing a way of searching the internet that has existed for over 25 years with AI features appals me, because it means AI will read content on the web and keep users away from websites. It will be another wall in the world of big tech. From a business perspective, it might be beneficial for the company, but from the perspective of creators (even small bloggers like us), it could be very detrimental.
It makes me appreciate initiatives like IndieWeb, blogroll.org or bubbles.town even more—grassroots movements and blog aggregators. Perhaps this will allow us to survive and find our way in this crazy world of technological progress.

Saturday was very pleasant. I watched a lot of sport: basketball, handball, football... I don't think I missed anything. Several matches. Very exciting. The basketball season in my country has entered its decisive phase. Similarly in handball. The football season ended yesterday with a few interesting results that pleased me. May is the time for final outcomes and reaping the rewards of a year's work in sport.
