Decluttering is fun! It's a nice mental exercise to delete stuff and become lighter again.
These words refer to digital life – creating projects, developing them, and then closing them down or consolidating them. That sense of lightness he wrote about is something I sometimes feel myself when I decide to give something up. A few days ago, I shared my thoughts on subscription dilemmas. For a while, the matter wouldn’t leave me alone and was weighing on my mind. However, when I came up with an idea on how to resolve the issue, I felt a sense of calm and relief, but also joy.
It’s a unique mix of feelings that I’ve been experiencing more often in my digital life than in my everyday life of late.
We used to organise only our basic (biological) lives. Later, we began to lead a double life, because the digital world emerged. Now we have to organise both of these worlds, and it’s good when we do so. Maintaining a balance is an essential part of our lives. I try to maintain it in both of these worlds.
