Created to be written
I love discover new blogs and experience new perspective of other bloggers. One of my last discovering is 'Scrambling Mind'. The author - mysterious 'LW' writes infrequently, but accurately.
One of his (or maybe her) great sentences is something like the motto of that blog:
This website is not created to be read. It’s created to be written.
I think this could be the motto of all bloggers. My perception of blogging has changed over the years. Today, I see blogging as the opposite of social media where we fight for likes, comments, shares and our sacred grail is viral.
Blogging is escape route for me. For that reason I write. Don't use photos, stock pictures or generative graphics. For me blogging is sharing thoughts and analizing a slice of life that I want to show to the public.
Readers are only the background. Of course - really important. But their interest in my content is a side effect of what I feel I want to convey and make public, rather than what I want them to read in order to satisfy their needs. Maybe that the reason why many bloggers don't using analytics.
