"Excuse me..." :)

It's great feeling to understand what people say in different languages. I learn English from few years and from part of time I speak well in various situations. I arrive by train to my office everyday and regularly meet people from various countries when I'm waiting on train station. They often have many questions about arriving: tickets, choose correct platform and others.

Regularly in last time they asked me about this. Not other people. I don't know why. One time I've thought about this and I realised that I'm young and maybe they think I know foreign languages. In my opinion it makes sens ;)

By the way. They ask me and we talk in English. I always try to help them because if I were in a similar situation, I would to catch help from other people as well.

I know they chose my country (Poland) as a place for temporary work and there are two options:

For me it's a good ocasion to talk with them and check how good is my English. This is helpful for me and their.

In my mind, I admire them for coming here from other continents, without good knowledge about our culture, without English on a good level. I know they don't have an easy life. So every time I'm really impressed about their brave, ambitions and open minds.

And every question: "excuse me, do you speak English?" make smile on my face and than I say: "Of course. How can I help you?".

:)
