omgl.lol - why is it so unusual?

I’ve read today long and great article written by Helen Chong. I love her blog. And today she has written about omg.lol - service with funny name and really fun and useful features. I’m using it as well but never so widely like Helen.

Today is her (Helen) 1st Anniversary on omg.lol. I have an account there as well (for over 7 months). My first and the deepest impression with omg.lol was (and is) Mastodon’s instance named social.lol. I love this community. Really positive and helpful. Other services? There are a lot. A LOT. I’ve counted 13 but not sure if this are all of them.

Using omg.lol (access to this service is paid) you can create your personal web profile, public posts on in-built-blog, host pics, create short URLs, provide ‘now page’, post a status, setup DNS, paste some things, forwarding email addresses and much more.

If you’re looking for a very detailed description of what omg.lol has to offer, you won’t find a better article than the one Helen wrote.
